The Tytherleigh Arms is a highly respected food led Inn, deservedly so as we pride ourselves on providing the very best local produce, and not forgetting the small people, a comprehensive childrens menu.

This year we were once again awarded the East Devon District Council highly coveted Seal of Excellence Award for the Highest Standards in Food Hygiene. We have been consistent in our achievements and have earnt this award for the last ten years in succession.

We take great pride in using the best local, seasonal produce we can source and living in this part of the country we are spoilt for choice!

Complete Meats of Axminster are also a family run business and pride themselves on knowing the traceability of their meats, using local West Country farms for their beef, pork, lamb, poultry & game. Their delicious Award Winning Sausages also appear on our menu.

Our seafood is mostly caught locally in Lyme or West Bay, we regularly serve fresh Crab, Scallops, Seabass, Plaice, Gurnard, Mussels, Halibut and Bream. All courtesy of Davy's Locker in Bridport.

Our Trout is even more local, coming from Jim at Rockmill Trout Farm, from lake to plate in the same day! He also supplies our wonderful Cod & Salmon.

West Country cheeses, Clotted Creams and Butters are famous worldwide and are all supplied by the lovely Richard of R.T. Parris Ltd in Chardstock.

Our local fruit and veg is also delivered daily, seven days a week if necessary, by the equally lovely A.G. Richardson & Son of Chard.

The Award winning Dartmouth Smokehouse deliver the majority of our Smoked goods, including our Smoked Salmon, Duck, Chicken and Mackerel.

We do try to keep all of our puds home-made especially Nora's Pavlovas, Barbara's Lemon Possets, Sticky Toffee, White Chocolate & Raspberry Trifles and legendary Bogtrotters! Not forgetting Tom's Banoffee and delicious Cheesecakes. But when we are super busy we are happy to use Patisserie Express of Sidmouth, for their handmade desserts.

In a nutshell, for James Gilbert, our Head Chef, (affectionately known as Gilbert Le Chef!) and myself, it is made very easy for us to create wonderful dishes for you, with such incredible raw ingredients!

Whether you are just popping in for a drink or looking for something to accompany your meal, we have some great local ales, especially the ever popular Butcombe Bitter or how about a pint of Otter. We also serve a fine local cider, Ashton Press. If wine is your tipple we have a fine selection, our house wines are both Chilean, a Merlot or a Chardonnay/Sauvignon. We also stock Spanish Rioja's, Australian Shiraz, French Sauvignon, a crisp Italian Pinot Grigio and the sweeter German Piesporter. Whatever your favourite, we're sure we can find something to suit.
